Cookie Policy

1. Overview

CreativeWork uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies to keep you signed in, operate secure authentication and payment functions, remember settings, and — only where analytics is configured and you accept — measure how the product is used.

This Cookie Policy explains those technologies. How CreativeWork processes personal information more generally is in the Privacy Policy.

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small data files stored by your browser. They are not the only way a site can remember information on your device.

CreativeWork may also use localStorage, authentication SDK storage, and similar browser technologies. Those are not all cookies, even when they serve a similar purpose.

3. Technologies CreativeWork Uses

The current implementation uses the technologies below. Names and lifetimes set by third parties can vary, and CreativeWork does not control them.

4. Strictly Necessary Cookies and Storage

Strictly necessary technologies are used to sign you in, protect account access, operate payment features, and keep the service working. They are not optional analytics and are not turned off if you decline analytics.

Declining analytics does not block necessary authentication or payment storage.

5. Authentication

When you sign in, CreativeWork sets an httpOnly session cookie so we can keep you signed in. That cookie is normally set to expire after 7 days. Firebase Authentication may also store session data in your browser, including browser storage such as IndexedDB, so your account stays signed in.

These technologies help sign you in, maintain authentication state, and protect account access. They are required for accounts to work.

6. Payment and Security Technologies

When you use payment features, Stripe may use cookies or browser storage needed to provide secure payment, fraud-prevention, authentication, and payment-method functionality.

CreativeWork does not set those Stripe technologies itself and does not control their names or lifetimes. They are payment and security technologies, not advertising.

7. Preferences and Local Storage

CreativeWork stores some first-party preferences in localStorage rather than as cookies. Examples include:

• your analytics Accept or Decline choice
• display-currency preference
• a saved-items cache
• a chat notification-sound preference

These stay until you change them or clear site data. They are not analytics cookies.

On some public pages, if you have not already chosen a display currency, your browser may request an approximate country from a third-party IP lookup (ipapi.co) so prices can be shown in a relevant currency. That request is not a cookie, is not analytics, and is not controlled by the analytics banner.

8. Analytics

Analytics is optional. CreativeWork currently uses Google Analytics only, and only when a measurement ID is configured for the environment you are using.

The Google Analytics script does not load until you accept. If you decline, or if analytics is not configured, CreativeWork does not load the script. Analytics is not always enabled.

After you accept, Google Analytics may collect usage information such as page visits, page interactions, and basic technical or browser information provided by the analytics service. CreativeWork uses this to understand how the platform is used and improve it.

CreativeWork does not use Google Analytics here for advertising, remarketing, or ads personalization. Advertising-related Google consent signals stay denied.

9. Advertising Cookies

CreativeWork does not currently use cookies for third-party behavioural advertising.

10. Third-Party Technologies

Relevant third-party technologies in the current product are:

• Firebase / Google Authentication, for sign-in
• Stripe, for payment and payment-security functions
• Google Analytics, when configured and you accept

Those providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy notices.

11. Cookie Consent and Preferences

When analytics is configured, a banner lets you Accept or Decline. That choice is stored in localStorage so CreativeWork can remember it.

There is no separate category-level toggle. Accept and Decline apply to optional analytics only. Necessary authentication and payment storage continue to work if you decline.

12. How to Change Your Choices

You can reopen the same Accept or Decline choice with Cookie settings in the public footer, next to the Cookie Policy link. Cookie settings is shown when analytics is configured. It is not currently available in the logged-in dashboard Settings area.

Changing your choice to Decline stops CreativeWork from sending future analytics events and updates Google’s analytics-storage consent to denied. CreativeWork also tries to expire this site’s first-party Google Analytics cookies. If Google Analytics already loaded during that page visit, the script may remain in memory until you leave or refresh. If a cookie cannot be expired, it may remain until it expires or you remove site data through your browser.

Changing Decline to Accept stores your new choice and allows Google Analytics to start without requiring you to log out.

13. Browser Controls

You can also delete or block cookies and site data through your browser settings. Clearing browser data does not by itself update CreativeWork’s stored analytics choice unless that stored choice is also removed.

Blocking necessary cookies or storage may prevent sign-in, payment functionality, or other parts of the service from working.

14. Changes to This Policy

CreativeWork may update this policy. Material changes apply prospectively, subject to applicable law. The Last updated date on this page will change when the policy is revised.
